Deleting Video Files!

I dont know if any one else suffers from this, but why in XP does it take long to delete a downloaded film or to move it to another location. You have to keep it highlighted for about half hour before it will let you delete or move. Is there a way of fixing that issue or sorting it out?

because xp scan through the whole video file for some reason, dont know why, so u have to wait for it to finish, there is a reg key to stop this, but it wont gve u movie info on the bar at the left hand side anymore. i will go find the link.
