Do you have an antenna/aerial... outside the house?

If so, by a signal booster ($15-$25) and connect it.

Edit: typo

just take some speaker wire, if it isn't already, strip one end, insert one of the wires (doesn't matter which side) into where you normally plug in your cable, and just move the wire around until you get good reeception. the benifit of this is you can tack the wire to the wall in those oddball positions a regular antennea can't achieve

Try dalbani.com they have the good ones that have fine tuning, the coaxial out needed to hook up to tv or vcr and best of all the amplifier booster is built in. There are many to choose from...

all you need to do is wrap some aluminum foil around the ends of the antennaes. i think this should work. i told someone else on this forum about this a while back and he said it worked...but ive never tried it, so...

Aluminum foil!!!http://www.pickatrail.com/jupiter/activities/backpacking/images/foil.jpg

The more elements you create, the more gain you'll get. Gang them, you just have to guess at the wavelength/spacing between.

HMP's suggestion of speaker wire was a good one. http://members.roadfly.com/tite-wad/thumb.gif

Or if you don't have speaker wire available, you can use an old extension cord.

Heck, I've even known people who used a wire clothes-hanger! :P
