Speaking of gay movies..........waaaay back in 1980, I took my 70 year old grandfather to a movie when he came to town to visit the family. We never even read a review or looked at a paper, we just showed up at the theatre and saw that Al Pacino was starring in a new flick. B) Both of us Pacino fans, so in we go. The movie was " Cruising ". Can you say; frikkin embarassing ?! We left after 15 minutes of squirming in our seats ! <_<

I personally have never walked out on a movie. Naturally, i've been tempted countless times but i've always stayed. I want to stay if I paid for it and I don't want to damn a movie before it's even got the the end, quite often with movies (take fight club, i have a friend who got bored of that) have a massive twist at the end which instantly make all the rest intresting (however, i enjoyed fight club all the way through).

Of course, some movies would of been good to walk out on, sadly, but i paid so im not moving.

I did once.
But the reason was that I was with this girl, and we were just avoiding to get thrown out.
Well, it was warm and dark, the seats were soft, so oral sex is not so strange then, is it?

to all who say charlies angels 2 "sucked". The idea behind the movie wasn't to be a realistic action movie, its extremely over the top and doesn't bide to the laws of physics. However, that's not the reason behind the movie. Its pure eye-candy, and I think walking out on Lucy Liu and Cameron Diaz says something about you.

 i'm sorry, but anyone who willingly goes along to see "Mr.Magoo" can't really class their time as 'precious'.

With regards to Jay and Silent Bob Strikes Back, i thought it was funny, but i realise it's one of those film you probably either love or hate, not a lot of middle ground.

I have to say that blair witch project is the worst movie i have ever seen. NOTHING tops this crap. The most hyped up movie that was not scary and I think I was beginning to get motion sickness. What a waste of time, money, and everything put in to make this "movie" or whatever it is! ;)

Yes, it says real is real and fantasy is _ _ _ _ ?

I suspect if you saw most "movie stars" in person you would feel the same way. Cameras and trick lights can do wonders for otherwise average or even ugly woman , or men. take away the staples, tape, elastic supports, etc., and you might do better at a supermarket anyday of the week.

ezyryder
07-21-2003, 02:17 AM
hahah, yes, very true. I'd have to agree with that, but in the movie itself they do look better than super-market material (unless, they themselves are in the supermarket, but it's too late for that sort of thought). I would imagine however if they were less made up and in person they wouldn't turn as many heads as someone else (if both were unknown)

Cameron Diaz is fugly :x

Give me Drew and Lucy any day though

Back on topic though, i've never walked out of the theater, no way i'm paying 8 bucks and not seeing a moive. I have however changed movies on many occasions. Including LoTR-thought it was crap, LoTR TT- thought i'd give it a chance but it was still crap, The italian Job- ZZzzzz, The last Holloween- it kinda sucked but what really sucked was the 300 pound black lady that was saying "Oh no he didn't" every time Mike did something, Titanic- I hate long movies that suck, Showtime- why did i even pay to go see that...i don't remember

And about 500 others

If the 500 hundred others were even half as good as these two, I'd like to know what your version of "good movies" really consist of....

Pardon me if i don't like boring long winded movies.

Just because you and other think some movies were good doesnt mean someone else can't have a different opinion.

I hate a lot of movies that a lot of other people like, and i like a lot of movies that a lot of other people hate.

I agree LOTR was the most boring movie ever i watched 3 times and each time i fell asleep. I am in to movies like that but dam they made it so fuckin lame. They casted some dumb people too. The card game was better so was the books i'll stick with the basics.

Man you dont know shit you have to be a Kavin Smith fan to understand that movie. Watch all his movies before you watch that movie it all ties together. His movies are Clerks, Mallrats, Chasing Amy, Dogma, then Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back. All great work but Jay & Silent Bob wasent his best.

walked out on The Hunt for Red October. BORING stuff. I've only ever seen those first 45 min. too. I've heard it ends well, but don't care to find out b/c the first 45min. is slow enough to put you to sleep.

Just to comment on where the topic went, the LOTR movies are awesome and I hope you all know that LOTR: Return of the King is just as long! I read the books as a child, reread them as an adult, collected the three cartoons that came out, and was never more excited when the plans for the trilogy were released! It's longwinded b/c the books are HUGE. Peter Jackson, who is a childhood fan of the book trilogy, wanted the movies to come as close as possible to the actual storyline in order to pay homage to Tolkien's genius. You cannot possibly represent that level of imagination with any real accuracy in a 90 OR 120 minute film!

If one had TRUTHFULLY taken the time to read the huge book trilogy, one would realize that the movie trilogy is as close to the story as is possible in three 3hr. films.....meaning, there were still details that were left out! Plain and simple - if you have not read the books, do not have an imagination, and/or do not have the patience for an epic movie trilogy, then it is not likely that you will appreciate these films.
