Back in the good old days im talking about 99 2000 when you had groups like class and myth when you ever you d/l a rip by them you would have elaborate installers with music and really nice art work i feel like that kind of detail is missing in todays groups wish it could be like back then :(......

well i don't really miss the days when games were striped of intros, ingame movies, music, sounds, voices, and preety much left with just enough so the game could start. Don't miss those days at all.

You still find then on music apps releases by Ozone or H2O. Most of them are cracked with special installers which include some nice techno.

Yeah, I was thinking of that too. I wasn't really sure if this was what the Thread Kreator was talking about. The Keygen has a very cool thing about it...the music and interface I guess. It put a smile on my herrick.

No - it was on my amiga, but I still downloaded intros, both old & new :)

Wasn't Galway into Jeff Minter into a big way iirc?

galway and rob hubbard wrote the best game music that was ever made on a sid chip.

new generations of crackers are just lazy, most of them don't code at all :)
so they don't use custom team patchers but universal patch generators, and just change pic and music. that's why cracks look the same :)
on the other hand that helps users apply cracks more easily as it's sort of a standard.

Crackers aren't the ones who take care of the gfx/sfx part usually

It's nice to see, that there are some other oldscool germans around here. ;)

I'm really happy that I was born in 197x, so I could watch the rise of computers, videogames, internet, etc. from the beginning. That way you take nothing for granted.
