The fact that one chooses to use certain words does not mean that one lacks a "civilized vocabulary" nor does it mean that one is unintelligent.

As j2 says it's more a case of having a wider range of words to choose from. Allowing for a greater range of nuance and connotation.

I swear however much I fucking want to, yet I actually have papers showing my vocabulary is a fair bit above average, if not far above, in two languages (including english).

My measure* of a poor education/stupidity/uncivilized language, involves very poor punctuation, incapability to construct proper sentences, and constant misspellings.
