I see that most people are going with the XFX Vid cards lately but I cannot see a difference between these 2 cards One is XFX and the other EVGA. What is the difference?

XFX PVT88PYDF4 GeForce 8800GT 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 (http://www.newegg.com/product/product.asp?item=N82E16814150252)

AND

EVGA 512-P3-N802-A1 GeForce 8800GT Superclocked 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 (http://www.newegg.com/product/product.asp?item=N82E16814130303)

there isnt much difference, except that one if factory clocked, and the other is not, the packaging is a little different as to what each company gives their consumers extra, like games n such. but the card is the same, except different clock speeds.

the best in performance but you can overclock the GT to perform the same as the 8800 Ultra.

As for the price difference yeah the clock speed but also EVGA offers lifetime warranty so they might price their cards higher than the others.

That card isn't meant for gaming.
It's a workstation card.

Both XFX & eVGA are good, the real difference lies in their warranty's.

Core clock on EVGA is higher than XFX. It also comes with more cables and adaptors.

If you're really looking for a new video card i'd seriously recommend getting a 8800GTS (320mb atleast), It's more worth while.
