Hence, when you hear someone talking about TB source, or TBDev, they are referring to code based on the original TorrentBits.net.

it's a pretty good tracker. i think they are still open. you should join.

torrentbits.net doesn't exist anymore as far as i know.

To prevent any confusion it was torrentbits.org not .net, you can see the .org reference in the torrentbytes.net logo which shows where the site was spawned from.

Torrentbits.ro is in no way related to either site, they just took the name to help get members quickly i think.
