hi i was wondering if you could shed some light for me one which is the fastest software for downloading movies? i have used kazaar and limewire and emule and now azureus and i think apart from the number of viruses and trojans you get with them they are all more or less the same and i use a 20mb broadband service so i know that i am using more then enough bb to be able to download much faster,

so if anyone can let me know of a download software that take s less that 8 hours to download on 20mb broadband then please let me know :D:happy::)

I 'm using Utorrent 1.6.1 and a few private trackers and get 400 plus kbs on the latest movies , so about an hour or less to D/L a dvd rip . Takes longer to convert than D/L for me . Of course you may have to config your Firewall to increase your speed . Good luck .

Who is your ISP and what's the fastest speed you reached on bittorrent?

Give Usenet a try mate and you'll be surprise as your connection will always be maxed out. But then it comes at a cost.

uTorrent 1.6 - It's very light and simple to use.

It was bought by the MPAA after uTorrent 1.6 was released, so don't use other versions beyond that.

no, utorrent was bought by bittorrent.inc which is partnered with the MPAA. there is no reason to think that the 1.6.1 release or any later releases are defective or spying on you. There in nothing in the EULA about it, so even if they were spying they couldn't admit anything in court.

My best results have been with bittorrent if the seeding on the torrent is decent enough. It is always entirely dependant on where the file is coming from though.

Bought or partnered, it's still connected with the MPAA... But it's all user's preference... If you think you can trust the MPAA, then it's all up to you. :)
