Sports World Petition

it feels weird to talk about sport in the lounge, so i think there should be a Sportworld, where we could have discussions such as:

Confederations Cup
France 2 - Japan 1

i though the japanese deserved a draw, looks like zico has got them playing in a more attacking and urgent manner ;)

Great to see an emerging team in national football (no offence intended by that comment) not tarnished by all the boring negative tactics that a lot of more established sides suffer from.

All their players have mastered the basic skills well and are all comfy on the ball and with guys like nakata in the team then they look an exciting team to watch, very refreshing.

I agree wholeheartedly with the idea of a SPORTSWORLD. It&#39;s not only going to be about Football. What about Boxing, Ultimate Fighting, Skateboarding, etc?? What about horrific sports injuries and suchlike?? Why can&#39;t it have a seperate section in the Lounge instead of the ,now very dated, Iraq War Thread?? I&#39;ve got quite a lot of sports related material but don&#39;t feel it&#39;s really appropriate for Movieworld. I&#39;ve read some good sports related topics in this Forum and it&#39;d be nice to keep them all in one place.

I love the fact that in American football it is called a touchdown, but you don&#39;t have to touch it down.

However in rugby it&#39;s called a try, but you have to touch the ball down.

I know why a try is called a try, can anyone explain why it is a touchdown.

PS why don&#39;t you put a case to the Mods and request a poll. They are normally very reasonable about this sort of thing. Granted over the last couple of days Lamsey has been Locked Boy, but I think he will chill when Wee Mouse is back moderating him.

I would certainly have no problem with a sports world. However discussions re derby events (particularly Celtic / rangers) would have to be banned.

There are a couple of chaps here who I like (I believe Callum is one and Knife Thrower another) who I would definitely fall out with if that were allowed.

The opinion has always been that it wasn&#39;t really K++ related, so it would have to be an off topic thing I think. Sort of like the World Events sub forum.

Why would discussions about "Derby" events have to be banned?? That would nullify the point of having a Sportsworld, surely that is exactly the sort of thing that should be talked about. I thought this Forum was about freedom of choice and expression, maybe I was wrong. I am very surprised that the K-Lite Forum has not got a sportsworld as it has allmost everything else, Perhaps one day.
The problem could be that this rather large K-Lite Forum is busting at the seems allready, And i think that more Pressure on the admins and mods would be unfair.
