If its just for storage to rejoin later you can use winrar or hjsplit to split the file and then store on two disks but this will not allow you to install the program from the disks, its just to store them off the hard drive or transfer them to another PC (include the hjsplit or winrar program and maybe daemon tools for mounting it on one disk to have it handy). If its a game disk, google "dvd9 to dvd5" and look for help splitting it into two disks that will install. There is a site "cd-2-dvd.com" (add www) where you can register and get help splitting game disks. Over time you will probably learn to split any kind of disk but beware, posters are banned on the spot if they mention warez in any way. So you have to watch your words. The site is strictly for people who buy the disks and want to back them up.

Just buy a Dual Layer DVD and burn it :)
