Ok heres the deal.

I have to wake up at around 7:00 AM everyday to go to school. Doing so, I'm always dead tired until about 10 or 11.

So my question is...
How do you guys get "awake" in the morning?

Any suggestions are appreciated. :)

it takes me about an hour to wake-up fully.

to wake yourself up quickly - open a window and get lots of fresh air...or try coffee. :coffee:

Caffeine, a good protein breakfast, bright lights, and about 15 minutes of resting usually wake me up.

You may have to consider how much sleep you are actually getting.

Are you, for example going to bed at 05:00 hours.

I usually go to bed at around 11:30 or 12:00. So 7-7 1/2 hrs

If you go to sleep pretty much straight away that should be well enough.

Actually Maax, you should consider getting another hour or two of sleep. 9.25 hours of sleep is shown to make a large improvement in stamina and alertness during the day.

Getting up is no bother for me...but Mr WeeMouse needs threatened, kicked, cajoled or promises of sex if he gets up in time.

WeeMouse

That's why he gets promised sex and not actually given it until later on that day!

Mouse sex is fun, and afterwards i get a sandwich.

I am a simple creature really.

Back onto the subject, my Da used to parade around the house at 7am banging two pots together singing the weather forecast. I've just realised that's why i wake up bang on time every morning....FEAR!

Funny you should raise this. I read a study not that long ago that suggests that adolescents require more sleep than was thought before. Further, uniqueness in sleep patterns for this age group makes early morning risings, and feelings of tiredness till mid-morning very common.

Minimally they suggest 8 1/2 to 9 hrs sleep, but the internal *sleep clock* that we all have seems to be re-wired during these years which results in the individually only being able to fall asleep in the wee hours, and wake up later. All to do with the brains production of Melatonin, which happens differently for teens than adults.

Found a link: Have a go if you're interested.
