Cinema Obscura is also very good for oldies and classical movies.
It has a few silent ones, although I'm not sure how many exactly.

KaraGara is gonna be your best resource.
Cinematik is if you want DVD-Rs.
And Cinema-Obscura is also a tracker that will have what you're looking for.

these are all very famous and popular movies that are widely available on public trackers, newsgroups, ed2k, oneclick-hosters. you name it.

the chaplin/welles/kubrick/hitchcock ones are well seeded on kg.

archive.org is a good source for films from the silent era and other public-domain movies.

thanks, kg isnt too bad on speeds either, itll take some time but its all gonna download i guess.
found out that tel has a fast torrent for "Imdb top 25" xvid movies, so i got a few from there as well.
it would be great if they had one for the top 250 but i guess that would be too big for most users...
