^ Oddly this happens at our place. Our big, fat lion cat always takes the dog cushion, and the idiot-dog allows it. Hopeless.

Cat's are better because they're low maintenance. Having a dog is like having a baby in the house.

Depends on which version of Batman it is, and sometimes how much time he's had to prepare.

The one wot was in the comics I used to read a couple of years ago could pwn Superman easily, even though had this silly thing about not using lethal force, like. I remember this one comic where martians had pwned the entire JLA (including Superman), except for batman, it ended with Batman owning everything.

He was really ruthless early on, so early Batman could have pwned superman as well, one way or another.

The gimp in the fifties or sixties or whatever it was could have been sneezed to death by superman, as could the one in the old tv-series, I reckon. Also, the Clooney- and Kilmer-versions were total gays, and would have been mashed, like.

Superman with powers, on the other hand, is fairly consistently overpowered (not counting the one in Smallville). So the only real variable is Batman.

Snee
11-28-2007, 08:36 PM
Also, I prefer dogs. More sociable, and nicer, like.

If you take away all factors apart from personality traits, cats could pwn dogs in all sorts o ways, in a fight or whatever, though.

Dogs are usually nice, cats are often total bastards.

kallieb
11-28-2007, 08:37 PM
^^ Which makes it all the more sweet when a cat likes you. Dogs generally like anyone who will give them a treat.

Meh, animals are like old people, wimmins at job interviews, and childrens. IRL, they all tend to like me.

One day I'll figure out how I manage getting them all to do that, and see if I can't transfer that to wimmin my age, like.

kallieb

:) Just don't let the women know that. I can't think of too many that would take kindly to the notion that they found you so charming because you took what you learned about managing animals, to developing your relationship with them;)

I prefer dogs they can be very usefull besides just being a pet. cats stink piss everywhere and have no use besides keeping out small pests unless you live in the country side then you don't get small pests. a cat is not a pet if it lives outside you pat it on the head once in the morning feed it end of that's just my opinion. i find cat's more exspensive funny enough a dog can be trained to crap where you want him to

95% of people would not have a clue how to teach a cat these things where a dog is very simple plus i don't want to go to the toilet and see the cat useing it and it's left overs inside every time

What a sweet dog (melting inside.....). It looks like you spoiled your old dog quite well. Should I ask..is that bone human or animal;)

For our next dog I'm trying to decide between two breeds: Irish Wolfhound or German Shepherd.

I love big dogs. No offense, but small dogs remind me of a mop without a handle.

If i were you i would take the German Shepherd. The Irish Wolfhound is a breed of dog that is used more for hunt.. wolfes hunt actually and a big disadvantage in my opinion is the fact that they ussually don`t live many years(and you don`t whant to get atached on a dog with a pretty short life time)
P.S I have a 8 years old German Shepherd... and i also have a..."mop without a handle":P

We got them free from the butcher it would only cost the butcher money to despose of it so it worked out both ways. i think it's part of a cow the bone no idea really we used to get bags of the stuff pig pigs feet ribs all sorts none of that pet shop crap charge a bomb and the dog never liked the stuff.

I have allways had german shepherds for the past 20 year's even my father used to have them as a child and it stuck in the family with us i never had anything else.

At 8 weeks up untill a year they are alot of work i mean alot lots of touble and bother that's just a normal puppy for this breed they are easy to teach good with kids good guard dog if you don't spoil them rotten i would allways recomend these dogs to anyone who is experianced once they are out of the andrex puppy stage is when they become a problem. Irish Wolfhound i have no idea what these dogs are like all i heard is they are big and clumsy but i don't beleive it.

Thanks for the feedback. I've been around dogs all my love, and love animals to bits. I've always had big dogs, and know the importance of ensuring that a dog is well trained. I developed my interest in Wolfhounds as very good friends have had this breed for years and they swear by them. I've spent quite a bit of time around this breed and find them to be the most beautiful and gentle giants!

Speaking of animals.....I found this odd photo that I wanted to share. I think cat's are winning the side of ...Who is indulged more? Cats or Dogs!!

^^ Yes!!! Beauty is in the eye of the beholder I suppose; but I just adore this breed. I find them simply beautiful. They are so gentle, very quiet, love people, and are not vicious at all. They look fierce, but their personality is very gentle.

My friend who has this breed said that it does a marvelous job of running off any bears that wander to close . Believe me, given where we live, this is a very good thing. I came face to face with a bear this summer, a young one - only waist high to me, but I just turned around and it was no more than 2 meters away. :fear: I just froze!!!! It saw me, and I was so thankful that it just turned and ran (they are very shy by nature unless threatened or hungry). We have bears come by all the time. It makes me very nervous, especially at night. So I want a big dog! Not a one-bite yappy dog

What is a cat?

Cats do what they want.

They rarely listen to you.

They're totally unpredictable.

They whine when they are not happy.

When you want to play, they want to be alone.

When you want to be alone, they want to play.

They expect you to cater to their every whim.

They're moody.

They leave hair everywhere.

They drive you nuts and cost an arm and a leg.

Conclusion: They're tiny little women in cheap fur coats.

What is a dog ?

Dogs lie around all day, sprawled on the most comfortable piece of furniture in the house.

They can hear a package of food opening half a block away, but they don't hear you when you are in the same room.

They growl when they are not happy.

When you want to play, they want to play.

When you want to be alone, they want to play.

They are great at begging.

They will love you forever if you rub their tummies.

They leave their toys everywhere.

They do disgusting things with their mouths and then try to give you a kiss.

Conclusion: They are little men in fur coats

I am definitely a cat person. Have always had at least one.

EXCERPTS FROM A CATS DIARY.
Day 183
My captors continue to taunt me with bizarre little dangling objects. They dine lavishly on fresh meat, while I am forced to eat dry cereal. The only thing that keeps me going is the hope of escape, and the mild satisfaction I get from ruining the occasional piece of furniture. Tomorrow I may eat another houseplant.
Today my attempt to kill my captors by weaving around their feet while they were walking almost succeeded, must try this at the top of the stairs. In an attempt to disgust and repulse these vile oppressors, I once again induced myself to vomit on their favourite chair, must try this on their bed.
Decapitated a mouse and brought them the headless body, in attempt to make them aware of what I am capable of, and to try to strike fear into their hearts. They only cooed and condescended about what a good little cat I was. Hmmm, not working according to plan.
There was some sort of gathering of their accomplices. I was placed in solitary throughout the event. However, I could hear the noise and smell the food. More importantly I overheard that my confinement was due to MY power of "allergies." Must learn what this is and how to use it to my advantage.
I am convinced the other captives are flunkies and maybe snitches. The dog is routinely released and seems more than happy to return. He is obviously a half-wit. The bird on the other hand has got to be an informant, and speaks with them regularly. I am certain he reports my every move. Due to his current placement in the metal room, his safety is assured. But I can wait. It is only a matter of time

Well...

Cats are useful because they keep out rodents and other pests from your house. VERY good quality, as rodents can eat through wiring or insulation and cause many problems that can be serious (like house fires from faulty wiring).

Dogs are helpful because they can be trained to help people with handicaps, like seeing eye dogs, or dogs that can help the deaf or those who are in wheelchairs. Dogs can also help save lives, for example people caught in snow avalanches. They can also help find lost people, or save you from people who are trying to attack you.

hmmmmmmmm...the dog list is much longer

When all is said, I prefer cats because the snuggle up in my lap and let me scratch their belly! My dogs are too big for that.
