so I'm copying a movie with both DTS and Dolby-AC3 Audio.
and if I don't get rid of one than it will be shitty quality.
my question first off is what the hell is dolby-ac3 and also which one would be the best choice? I live in the US if that makes any difference!

Thanks

DTS is better but it's about two times bigger as the AC3. The second problem of the DTS is that some old DVD Player are not able to read it... My choice would be AC3 'cause the difference of quality between the both are very slim !

Go with AC3. DTS is not that common in stand alone dvd players now of days. Ac3 is only inferior but a slim margin.

AC3 = Dolby Digital

It's almost as good as DTS, and AC3's file size is way smaller compared to DTS... If your DVD player supports Dolby Digital Surround Sound, then just go for it and forget about DTS.

Of course, DTS is better. But the difference between AC3 and DTS is not quite noticeable for ordinary listeners. It's a different story if you are an audiophile..
