View Full Version : Did Anyone Need "picture Previewer"

Jock Whiteside

Hey im just wondering if anyone used or needed that picture previewer i made a while ago. Becuase i was going to fix some little bugs in it and maybe add other features to it but i just want to know if its worth my trouble doing it.

For anyone that didnt know what it was for.
-Its for previewing pictures that you are downloading in kazaa
good if your downloading about 30 wallpapers at the same time and
want to see what they look like. So that you can cancel them if they are dumb.

Thanks

Um i dont think i have it up anywere(Anymore) but i will get a site up soon with all my little programs ive before.

But if you need a program like this then i know its not a waste of time making it so if more people need it i will make a new version.

Yes definitely make a new version, and fix up bugs, put more file formats, and possibly integrate this with AVIPreview??? If not then make it up to standard/professional so that it can be included in KL installer!!! :D

I did not see this program u talking about. But a soft to view and preview images would be great. I don't know why Kazaa's Theater never did this but it would be really usefull.

This program was made about last year, but it was never included in the KL installer, so I guess that's why Jock removed it, but maybe Paul and others can now reconsider whether to add Kazaa Picture Previewer into the installer or not (maybe a poll???)!!! :D

It's for previewing pics. That's why the program is called Picture Previewer. :P

k here you guys go,

This still might have bugs in it. If so email me at [email protected] or just PM me.

Things i chaged to last version (if you ever got last version).

-Made it so that it can have files passed onto it.
eg. so that you can add picture preview to the preview menu in kazaa lite and
it will open that picture that you want to preview.

-Also made it so that if no file is passed to it, it opens your kazaa shared folder as default.

-And just cleaned up some of the code

If you have any ideas what other features you want in this program then just email me at [email protected]

Download (http://www.jocko.orcon.net.nz/Files/Picture%20Preview.exe)

Thanks

OK now Kazaa Picture Previewer is back (it's initials happen to be KPP - maybe we can rename it to KLPP or something), it should now be included in KL installer??? Paul, maybe a poll to decide this??? :D

Suggestion 1: If I move the horizontal scroll the bar and then I click on Refresh,
it returns to the initial position. Please resolve it.

Suggestion 2: View.htm would have to be hidden file.

Suggestion 3: The content of View.htm would have to be:

<html>
<body>
<img src="
download10597477207903968.dat
">
</body>
</html>

the other instructions are useless.

Suggestion 4: Kazaa Picture Preview would have to be compatible with
&#39;Preview with&#39; of KL Extensions 0.56a

Well it&#39;s going to be useful mainly for 56Ker&#39;s who are either downloading a lot of images at the same time or to preview large quality/size images (usually .bmp bitmaps) :D

my only problem is that it isnt integrated in with K-Lite K++

Jock Whiteside
08-13-2003, 04:19 AM
well i dont think it should be added into kazaa k++ yet because its not all that stable because its using IE :P wait until i get some time and i will make my own reader to read the jpg + i will add all the picture formats i use and i will make it look better and more useful.

If it was indergrated into Klextension so that you could right click and preview it i, i could see a point in haveing it. Becuse ACDSee can read .dat files, That&#39;s what i use.

you can you just have to add it your self cause it takes the file name passed on by k lite.

---ADDING IT&#33;&#33;&#33;&#33;&#33;&#33;

Just add it by going into kazaa lite k++ options k lite options, tools menu then click the add button in title just put like Picture Preview or something then in command line just point to the program (just click that little browse button the find the program then select the exe) now rember to click the add to "preview with " submenu now when ever you go preview with and then select picture preview it should preview the image you are downloading.

&#39;Preview with&#39; doesn&#39;t work if my shared folder is on other partition (D:&#092;My Shared Folder).

Yes it does. My shared folder is in E:&#092;My Downloads and "Preview With" works with no problems.
