Well a 350GB buffer on one site isn't really needed. If you are an uploader then fine, if not then it's just an e-penis thing

Not saying a buffer is bad, but as long as you have enough to grab whatever you want, then great. I have 100GB on one and I use it to grab older stuff which I would never be able to seed back.

Well i dont try to have huge buffers. All i want is to have enough buffer to leech anything i want without worrying about my ratio going below 1.
But i have a 300 buffer on TL though my ratio is just 1,3 So i do download quite a bit as well.
Other than that i have some 100-150gb buffers spread around several trackers. Best not put all your eggs into one basket, with all the closing down of sites at the moment.

My biggest buffer is 57gigs on ST... i manage to have that when they had freeleech and 3x upload...My average buffer in all my trackers is 20gigs......Just in case i miss some release or want to watch old movies i will not worry about my ratio....:)

not pointing at any1 in particular. but i do agree that this is an epenis thing. think practically. what will you do with a buffer?
1) trade it for higher level sites
2) download as much as you want without seeding
3) while building such buffers, dont give fair opportunity for slow speed users to seed
certainly not very beneficial to the torrent community. i know you cant seed 1:1 on all torrents and hence you need to overseed some torrents to make up. but that certainly dosent require such huge buffers. i read somewhere an average torrent size on most trackers in around 1-2 GB. so even a 20-25 gb buffer is more than sufficient for 99% people.
im not trying to flame anyone, just merely getting my point across

seeding torrents for a long time on archive tracker like kg or the mixingbowl is totally fine.

what buffer whores do is overseed popular torrents in a short time and then they disappear when it isn't snatched anymore.

that's the reason why you hardly see any seedboxes on older torrents.

the ones with the home pipes keep the torrents alive.

Wow, that is what I do exactly.

I buffering all my accounts because in 6 months I plan to move and I would be on cable internet. Cable internet means you get banned for low ratio everywhere.

there are cases when you need the buffer as i said. epenis comes into the picture only when people make buffers for bragging rights and dont really mean to use it constructively. the case you consider is an exception and very few people are in that situation

umm. i have about 1TB on xbox-sky which would be the biggest. but that was not intentional buffering. had 1 torrent running in my client a couple of days and then i found, to my big surprise, that 1TB buffer. i never thought one single torrent could seed that much with my connection. as i don't use the site very much, the "buffer" remains :P
