Why do you need 1 GBit....You could get 100/100 for less, with same specs.

100 Mbit is too shit
I haven't got any high level trackers yet but my friends say thatz itz real 2 shit with everyone on 100 Mbit box itz almost the same thing,With 1 Gbit u can very easily create buffer and morever i am much busy with work and can't add torrents or doo RSS feed cuz i am a tornado freak

There a lots of reasons so we wanna try 1 Gbit box :w00t:

but with only 5tb transfer, you'll barely get to use that extra bandwidth. even a good 100mbit can fly through 5tb in no time

i was using 3 tb's in less than 2 weeks, for a total of over 9 tb's a month on a softlayer giga

You do not need a 1Gbit seedbox, unless you are a real hard core uploader at a few sites with scene axx and someone to help pay your bills.

You can do 5TB per month on a top class true 100/100 such as LW or SL or LT.

And a 100/100 is way more than plenty to seed back what you take, to get a Gbit seedbox just for seeding goes back to overseeding problems many sites & users are facing.

lol, why the hell do you people care he gets a Gbit or 100Mbit? Its his choice, hes got a need for speed, and he should fulfill it ;)

WillSmith099, dont mind these sour users. If you want to get a true gbit pm me, i will hook you up with a choice of 5 different location in US and Europe. And if your planning to upload and want access to a scene topsite, let me know, i can get you from small 5TB Sites to large 60TB+ sites.

It's called advice. He clearly states he wants the box for buffering accounts, data usage outweighs speed in this case and a 100mbit box with more than 5TB/month would be cheaper and more useful for his purposes. The 1gbit option is the retarded option in this case.

if you would like a us giga, i suggest layered tech or softlayer. I personally have had both and loved them though i prefer softlayer being that thay offer unmetered private bandwidth.

If you after a eu giga your gonna pay an arm and leg IMO, though i suggest http://sologigabit.com/

Oversold as in, to many people are on 1 box and you wont be getting the speed that you pay for.

For that price you will find only 1gbit shared (what is very bad) I offering you vectoral. Was using leaseweb and softlayer and stoped @ vectoral - they are best.

1gbit= 125mb upload and 125mb download

100mb= 12 mb upload and 12 mb download.

Depends all on what package you get.

yayyyyyy

Oo

the limit is the cpu and the harddrive...

you need a very fast scsi raid with many harddrives to keep up with the writings/readings... bw is not everything :P

or you can just save your files to /dev/shm lmao

You don't need a gigabit port :)

I know having a gigabit Connection would be nice, but its really not necessary, the allowed usage on both 100 mbps and 1 Gbit is usally the same 1-3 TB but the price on gigabit is higher, basically ull be using the same amount of ur connection even if its a gigabit.

Ive used 4-5 100 mbit seedboxes and almost all have done over 5-6 MBps and 5-6 MBpss should be more thn enuff for a single torrent. And if u got ur own tracker and thinking of hosting 100's of torrents on it at once thn keep in mind ull use the BW within a week or two if ur site is any active.

The only place a gigabit would be useful would be when ur on a torrent that gets over 100 peers within few minutes, but thats not the case with most torrents only a few populour releases are that active.

However if all u want is good pretimes thn a gigabit can be good options, but ull have to make sure the Gigabit server has good connectivity to ur TopSite or ull end with the same DL speed ull get with a 100 mbps or even less.

Neways thats just by advice, its ur decision :)

BTW neone used OVH gigabit?

I ordered a 100 mbps from OVH once but they limited me to 5 mbps saying they dont sell to customers not in the listed countries, bit if someone orders they provide it but at 5 mbps, so i got a refund from them. Have they started selling to UK yet?

Thr gigabit server looks good since its unlimited :D
