View Full Version : How exactly does moderation work?

I have searched the board and thread and all I could find was "rule 13- moderation/banning" It did not sufficiently explain moderation. I know this is like incarceration, so may I politely ask how long this will last? I made a big mistake and I realize I need to "do my time." I just wan to know how much time.

The expiration date for any infraction is in your profile.

As for how moderation works, every post will need to be approved before it is visible to the rest of the forum.

the expiration date shows up as the current time, thus it seems there is no expiration date?

expiration date shows up as 5 days after it was given.
AKA december 7.
Don't know where you're seeing the current time.

(For those more used to the European format, that would be:

The running problem is that they don't take the 5 seconds required to read the infraction PM or bother to look at their profile.

We get report threads with this topic almost weekly, but it couldn't be any more evident unless it were in
BIG BOLD LETTERS

BIG BOLD LETTERSNot true, you and reality tend to not put in any reason.

For example zaa730 wants to know what he did, and you tell him to read the infraction, but the infraction reason is "thread". WTF does that mean?

I rarely fail to put a valid reason. If I don't it's by pure accident.

The "Thread" comment was also by Reality, not me.

Think thread would suggest the infraction is for the thread that the infraction is linked to. The post is quoted in the infraction also. The member also appears well aware of what theyve done wrong so dont think thats what this is about. Think the question is what moderation acually is. The member posted saying theres nothing on the site showing what it is. Thats a good point and why it was requested THIS (http://filesharingtalk.com/vb3/f-bittorrent-invites-90/t-oo-do-not-ignore-infractions-oo-240874) should be added to any infraction given...
