If article is not found the problem is with your news providers retention. They have ditched the article before you had time to download it. Solution is to sign up with a decent newsserver. Cost money but easy on the heart:)

You will not miss anything if you woth Newshosting, Giganews or another provider.

SSL (copied from Giganews:P):

# What is SSL?

SSL stands for 'Secure Socket Layer' protocol. SSL provides a confidential link between the server (Giganews) and the computer communicating with the server, the client. When the connection between a server and a client is made using SSL, the information sent back and forth along that connection is protected from being seen or intercepted by others through encryption (a secret code only known by Giganews and your computer).

256 Bit SSL is the same type of security that banks, retail websites, and credit card companies use to allow their customers to safely and securely access their private account information and make payments online.

SSL over NNTP (Usenet) encrypts all the data being sent between Giganews and your computer including your username and password, article data, and header data. 256 bit SSL encryption can also aid in circumventing artificial bandwidth limits and help protect against identity theft.

Many use them and is satisfied with that. I don't use them cause I don't max my connection with them. It depends on where you live I guess.

Just try them for 3 days or something and check it out.

Giganews got a 10GB trial thingie you can test too.

UNS was having trouble with all those 400 connection errors - but I think that is resolved not. They are fast (and max out my connection). Nothing seems to be as good (or costly) as Giganews. Still $25/mos isn't bad if you are using a lot.

Giganews is the best in my opinion :)

Dweirdo (http://filesharingtalk.com/vb3/members/dweirdo-189467),

i think you said you signed up with UsenetServer, i recommend that you sign up with Giganews. They have the most retention and with all the STUFF that's available at any given time, there have been many instanous that i realized that i wanted to check out a new show, or d/l a game that was released a few months back - and with Giganews i have that opportunity to still grab it. It hasn't failed me yet.

well 101 retention is good for me i didnt signed up yet to usennetserver cause i didnt get an answer about visa pre paid cards from them.
iv been with my isp news provider which i now figured that its text only XD.
giga news is 2 expensive and i think ill max out my 180kb/s connection(yeah yeah i know its not much but thats what we have here in israel :P)
thank you for your answer, and i think ill try usenetserver for 1 month and then see if its what i want.
