Is it enough with 1000W PSU when I got a Quad Core CPU and 2 8800GTX cards?

It says you got to have a 450W PSU for one card and I guess that it includes a "basic" system setup?

Found out that recommended was 750W...

:D

Having more than you need is a good idea not bad. You can add more sata drives for more hard drive space without having to worry. Heck some motherboards have 8 hookups for sata drives but not too many cases have 8 HDD slots. If all your hard drives are Sata you can put 4 dvd burners in your 51/4 bay and start a production company on the IDE line.

Yes, it is good to have more than recommended just in case. You are very lucky.

Stay away from the cheap PSUs. Get a decent brand like Seasonic or Corsair.

Why?

Because the cheap ones have a higher chance of asploding!

I've got the computer @ work and cannot get it home before Friday... so I'm not that lucky, yet :P

With the two gfx cards and a big heatsink/fan it's not much space for anything else in there hehe.

Cheap for the setup but I wanted something that didn't give too much space.

I've always bought the big tower Chieftec cases but now I got 2 servers and a dedicated gaming computer so I don't need the big ones anymore. I don't like the thought of water cooling (yet) so I wanted to test some smaller cases with just a few big fans.
