vortex mainly has computer related ebooks
bitme has a much more generalised collection
hence i would say bitme is best

It's not a tracker, but that's probably the site which hold the biggest collection of computer related ebooks : http://zipsites.ru/books/edocs/edocs_list.php

Ya Bitme, but it's harder to get into. Try this one:
http://forum.gfxnews.ru/index.php
It opens up once a month for new signups.

Yeah bitMe is definetely good. If you still can't find a certain book on bitMe, I know eMule is not a torrent site... but it is a good place to find rare Electrical Engineering and advanced Math books, and rare books in general.
Sorry for talking about non-torrent software in this section, but I thought it could help.
