When people talk about Tracker speed, does that refer to how fast you can download the torrent files at, or does is mean the speed at which the actual files download at, or something else?

I thought the actual file speeds were dependent on the seeder and leacher's speeds.

They refer to speed and how fast you can download particular torrent.

It depends on seeder and ul speed. But on most site queens seedbox :P

It really based on the speed you download the file.... Some tracker have many members that used a Seedbox so that it has the fast speed... but if you have a slow connection you will not notice the difference between the speed of two trackers....

when they say a tracker has good speeds, it basically means that the seeders and uploaders in that tracker have good speeds (many have seedbox). so download speed of the torrent is high.
but browser speed is the speed inside that tracker, when you browse through it

Thanks for the help. So, if I get this right, assuming a very fast connection, is it the torrent file (i.e. *.torrent) that is affected or the actually files that the torrent file refers to that are affected?

My guess now is that it is the *.torrent file

Seedbox?

Edit: Thanks Sina! Got it.. .

it is not the .torrent-file. that comes from the speed of the site. the browse-speed. when people talk about the speed of a tracker they refer to the speed of which they can download the files the .torrent points to. the speeds you see in your bittorrent client :)
