Unable to join/extract some torrent downloads

I have downloaded some files but now I am not able to join them. They all have something like .001, .002 and so on file extensions. I tried WinRAR and HJS Splitter tool to extract or join them but its not working. Is there any specific tool that I need to use?

Should work with winrar:/ Just double click on the .001 file for an example and open it with winrar. I have also had such files as those and it worked fine with winrar

Yep. Winrar is the tool you need.
If the files haven't got ans apps attributed yet, just right-click any file -> Open with... -> choose WinRar.

Than just simply Extract it to where you want.

BTW, you don't Join anything here ;)

I think he means the multiple Rar files. As Ice tea said you don't exactly "Join" them, when you use WinRar you can extract them into the file you meant to Download
