I just have first experience using seedbox and even it's shared with another servers, the up speeds looks really great, could reach 4MB/s. Just wonder with that kinda speed, could it possible, when mods from trackers see it, he mistaken banned the user with seedbox ?
Sorry, I just don't get used to see the 4MB/s upstream :P

well i`m an seedbox user and i`m uploading in very high speeds more than 4MB/s in one torrent sometimes and i have no problem with using it...
I think that you could if u wanna to tell staff or just put in ur sig in the tracker that u have an seedbox...
And that staff knows ISP IPs of seedboxes and they know who have the real speeds who is seeding from server and who is cheating ;)

Well in some trackers, on the settings of the acc, they have a option just because of that.
If doesn´t have, just PM on of the Mods/sysop/Admin and menction that...(what kind of "sb" you have)

You shouldn't have to notify anyone, but if your unsure then a pm to the staff of the site in question won't harm anything.

staff can tell by ips mostly, we have got an auto script on, ans when we first put it on, we banned a lot of good seeders, including our best uploader.

i think it was set to 10mbs well he was uploading at 13mbs so got disabled lol.

but we have upped it again after that as he now has a gbit sb

He is right, usually trackers allow you to have multiple IP Adresses and if you do get banned then a trip to their IRC should do it.
Trackers will ban you if you do share a seedbox with multiple people on the same tracker which is understandable at times

This is accurate.

If you are dealing with a experienced staff, they should know which IPs are servers and which are home connections. Unfortunately, some trackers use scripts that autoban members when a flag is raised.

Yeah most Tracker sites should know as seedboxes are out a long time now lol...

But even when u pm a mod or in the forums, I reckon thers still is a slight chance you could get nicked for nothing if the script is wrong or something.. like what stoi said.

But I've been using seeboxes with different IP's for the past few months now with no probs and at a lot higher speeds than 4mbs :)

Don't worry man, just buffer away I say :)

I was disabled at TorrentIt because I uploaded a lot using a 10mbit pipe. They wanted me to prove my connection speed with a speed test. In the end they relented and enabled my account :)

I agree with sakingsny... Mods should know more or less the IP ranges of the servers. Besides, having a seedbox can be proven if a ban did occur - with a screen shot or what ever other proof they would request.

Damn thank all you guys for this info. I'm looking into gettign a seedbox myself down the line. Sick of the traffic shaping these isp's do.
