Gears of War... good game but why the fuck they screwed up in making checkpoints? checkpoints are so badly chosen, it repeats the objectives, team talk and movie every god damn time you replay the checkpoint, i understand why it should repeat all of these if you run the game but while playing it its very annoying, some time i want to bung my keyboard like that german kid :frusty:
am right now at what looks like last stage(pumping facility) were you get that arrow gun and all what i mentioned happens before getting into the facility so if you die checkpoint is right before getting in and since its last stage its very hard and i die alot and that god damn team chats makes you walk slow which annoys very bad.

its like everything which is associated to M$ must have flaws. :angry:

Thats a good point you make.
Its a good game i.e its realistic but I like my games to be a bit faster ala Unreal Tournament or even COD

I was bored with it after a while. Its just hide and shoot. The eventual chainsaw was fun but that died out fast.

Too bad most of most of you are in the minority.

Personally my only knock on the game was that it was too short.

I never thought the game was too hard though or the checkpoints were off.

However, I was playing the game on 360.

Yeah, I never really got into Gears of War like many people have. I'm a Halo man at heart. It is the only reason why I own an Xbox 360.

ok finished it, that last round was too hard on Hardcore mode, Raam bitch was hard to kill.

game was way longer then any recent 4+Gb games, if you think it was short then perhaps CoD4 is just a Demo for ya. but seriously among all of the current games that i played(Kane&Lycnh, CoD4 and few more) GoW is by far the longest, heck i played for so long that when i reached in mid stages(pumping facility) i thought it would be the last stage.

I think it's a great game, but the PC version is so buggy... It keeps giving runtime errors for me :(

GoW on PC could probably be compared to Halo on PC. They rushed them both, I'm sure.

GoW single player was the only single player game I ever finished lol. I have to say 5 stars, and can't wait for part 2.
