Most DVDs I download have two options for subtitles, a foreign language and englsih. Do the subtitles come within the DVD, so all I have to do is burn it, and turn it on on my TV?

Yes. If u download the complete dvd usually labelled such in scene releases) and burn them as DVD then u would have all the features u wud get form buying a regular dvd

Okay cool. It's not a complete DVD though because it hasn't been released.

Another question. I have an .img file. Can I burn that to a DVD with Nero, or should I extract the VOB files out and then burn it. And I also heard movies in .img files were associated with PAL, but the movie I downloaded was in NTSC format.

You should find something like this in the NFO

Subtitles

[x] English [x] Spanish [ ] French
[ ] swedish [ ] finnish [ ] norwegian
[ ] danish [ ] polish [ ] hungarian
[ ] german [ ] dutch [ ] italian
[ ] hebrew [ ] greek [ ] croatian
[ ] portugese [ ] russian [ ] czeck
[ ] icelandic [ ] turkish [ ] slovenia
[ ] arabic [ ] hindi [ ] thai
[ ] chinese [ ] korean [ ] japanese
[x] Closed Captions
[ ] None

And the X marks the spot.. or in this chase what subtitles are included.

You can also download custom made subtitles and add them to the dvd. This requires a bit if reading and work,
but if you need subs i think it might be worth the time.
There are several guides that you can find easy with the help of your good friend google.

.img files can be in PAL or NTSC format. Try using ImgBurn to burn your .img files. Works perfectly. No need to extract the vob files. I haven't had experience using Nero however.

to burn .img files in Nero go to the recorder tab choose burn image select the .img file and burn.

You can also right click the .img file in the folder it is located at and associate .img files with Nero then all you have to do is double click the .img file to open up Nero and it is ready to burn.
