Finally found the answer.

The Correct spelling is

d e f i n i t e l y

as in "finite"

I have d e f i n i t e l y never spelled that word wrong. But it does sound like it should definitely be spelled definately. :P

That's true. However if one fails to make the new video work it is obvious to all concerned. Then the instructions can be checked. As a last option obviously.

The same cannot be said of the written word.
