if you consider those thread to be spam then this thread should be no exception...yes they are more in number ;)

and as Sa3RgI said, they are trying and if trying makes them feel better [without violating FST rules]...let them do it, right?

beside that, i think there is another important reason. If you see 10 FTN request each day for straight one week and say none of the OP are genuine enough...think, how much positivity will one request from a genuine user will make? In a way, those non genuine request will help genuine request.

I think this thread is a bit elitist. you guys crying how awful it is people "begging" shows that you seem to forget a time when you yourselves weren't a part of whatever "trendy tracker" was in at the time, I mean have you never asked anyone for an invite?? I have asked for invites and I still do from time to time. Sure some people take it over the top with actual begging, but it seems to me they are simply trying to get noticed by someone who will hopefully think they are funny enough to give them an invite, I believe most if not all have done this in fact...

I just gave a quick look and this is what I found, I'm sure some will say well it wasn't FTN I was asking for, but those are really just initials, the principals are still the same. This is what the section is for asking, begging, pleading for invites. There is nothing wrong with it. Each request, no matter what tracker it is for, should be debated on its own merits, and will get invited, or not, on those things alone (or if someone the OP knows just happens to see the request).

Creativity should never be stifled, indeed it should be encouraged if anything, and some things will catch on, and some things will die a quick death (the video request hopefully! :P).

Our members who have been here a while and been active are more likely to succeed by the creation of their requests than applying at the bottom of a very long list of no-hopers, whereas those members here for just a short time, and with no activity, will & can still be ignored.

If you can't stand the heat, stay out of the kitchen :D

So who are you to judge them by looking down on their plea's because you consider it begging? I think they are asking differently than you would, again thats what this section is for. OK so in short it is arrogant and ignorant to bash others asking or even begging for invites, it's not only their right as a member here but also encouraged thats what we do in the Invites section, INVITE PEOPLE. weather or not the site is hard to get into ATM or not, hell I think I saw someone asking for Bitsoup the other day :P, seriously, Skull let me ask you why FTN?? If you look in recent weeks there are far more Waffels requests there. I am a happy member of FTN and it is a great site with a good staff so why do you see a problem with others wanting to get in?
