its configurable. You can change the settings.

[edit] - theres max number of active torrents(upload or download)
max number of active downloads

So if you set your max download to 10,
and then max number of active torrents to 15.

Doesnt that set your seeding torrents to a max of 5:naughty:

oh ok, the maximum number of active torrens you can have?

the max number of active torrents allowed me to set it up till: 1000000000

;)

Another zero and it complains. But thats surely more than one needs

Well, I know during the recent free leech period at Waffles, I had 180+ running, so...

120 is cake.

im seeding a total of 560 torrents on all of my sites, but only max 10 of them are actually being leeched at any given time while the others have 0 leechers.
im seeding so many so i'll always have at least something to seed. there's very very few leechers on the trackers where im seeding torrents.

using utorrent 1.7.5

Never had a problem seeding over a couple hundred torrents with version 1.6 & 1.6.1

utorrent is highly configurable and Its low on resources to.

yep even with plenty of torrents seeding, utorrent consumes very low resources. you should definitely switch polarbear. i was using azureus earlier and it takes a lot of mem when the no. of active torrents is high

PB 120 isn't a problem for utorrent.

and as for what is the max # of seeded torrents allowed? it's very high...changes are nobody will reach it.

what people often don't realize (people who are used to seeding on TL and trackers with a lot of leechers) is that seeding a shitload of torrents at the same time is NOT the same as having all these torrents actually transferring data to leechers.

you could be seeding 1000 torrents on a small tracker, while only about 10 of them are actually being leeched. that means 990 of them are just inactive, they take up no extra resources and only connect to the tracker in every 30 minutes (or whatever interval the tracker has specified).

i don't know if there actually is a limit is in utorrent, but noone will reach it anyway.
