OK, even though it is supposed to be a time of joy - the
amount of new members being invited in the past 2 weeks
who have hit and run on EVERYTHING they have downloaded is
OUT OF CONTROL. If anyone invites people who do this in
future - expect to get the amount they hit and run on
added onto YOUR download amount.

Yah can't understand why people still doing that shit. Anyway i don't think BTV has a "huge" problem with seeding torrents, everybody knows isn't easy to seed there, on the contrary.

Quite impossible unless you have a seedbox over there.

I just don't believe that anyone can get access to this unique tracker and behave like that

Some people just don't care shit... :(

Not cool at all. They not only make themselves look bad but the people that invited them and they defeat the whole purpose of private trackers itself. Sharing is caring :ermm:

These guys are rlly idiots.

DyNast
12-26-2007, 07:04 PM
Why so, DiDi?
BitMeTV might have strict rules, but they also have a great tracker where no ones even thinks about HnR or inviting untrusted people ^^

These guys are rlly idiots.

I don't see how they are "rlly" idiots.

In fact, I think this is a great policy. In my opinion this should be automated. I also believe that uploaders on torrents who share to hit & runners should get double upload.

I think all sites should do this. It would cut down on invites being handed out like candy to people you don't know. I'm all for giveaways, so long as you research the person, and are willing to back them up 100%. Go bitmetv go!

melatonin
12-26-2007, 07:33 PM
yeah its rules that make bmtv rock :geptard:

SgtMajor

I think all sites should do this.

So do I, but for a different reason.

It means I can invite people who wouldn't normally get invited and I get to share my BW (which I don't need) and give it to people who can use it.

melatonin

this is really good way to punish careless inviters but i think there should be another system to reward good users like earning extra upload amount based on the people we invited in case they are good ( say if their ratio is over 2.0 or higher ). so if he uploads 100GB and have ratio over 2.0 we'll earn 10GB for example...

what ya think :)

dythim
12-26-2007, 08:23 PM
Having both good and bad incentives will definitely cause inviters to think about who they are inviting. Having positive incentives is a great idea. However, it's always easier to spot the negative things and overlook the positive things.

yoyogi4
12-26-2007, 09:14 PM
that's why you rat on your invitee before he screws you over. You can see all their ratios.

Adman65
12-26-2007, 09:20 PM
I think positive and negative incentives are good as well.

Also, seeding on BMTV without a seedbox is hard. Especially on some torrents, but that is going to be the same everywhere. You just have to choose the torrents very carefully. Some of the torrents have 100+ seeds and most likely most of them have seedboxes.

Idiots... someone trusts them enough to invite them to such a great tracker, and then they destroy themselves and their inviter? http://filesharingtalk.com/vb3/../images/smilies/ermm.gif

I for one, value my BitMeTV account.

bikernin
12-27-2007, 02:32 AM
yep BMTV is the strictest tracker there is and if you want the good stuff then you got to be sensible and value your account there. once you get banned there, they dont let you in again

Many people can get into BMTV pretty easily. I'm sure lots of those people on BMTV barely know about the ranks of certain trackers.

For those of you who seed w/o a seedbox on BMTV, do you leave the computer on 24/7?

For those of you who seed w/o a seedbox on BMTV, do you leave the computer on 24/7?It's the only way I can keep a 1.0+ ratio is seed 24/7 or simply upload my own torrents, which is pretty easy to do (but people are lazzyyyy)

I think is a great policy.
Thatīs why BitMeTV is the best tracker in its category.

As a matter of fact, I found this place looking for help when my account was disabled there... "googleing" I found a thread here. RVT told why I was punished and what to do, I explained my case and was enabled again, but I learned, the hard way, do not give invites, even people who you think you know... I invited a guy that I knew for almost a year in a soccer forum, the first thing he did was cheat... 3 GB in 1 day with a shi*** connection. Now I am the first BitMeTv defender because their policy inspires confidence to me.
Sick and tired of trackers where you see hundreds of seeders and you canīt download at a decent speed because most users are cheating, sending Tbs of nothing to nowhere.
Good for BitMeTV.

What are you talking about? I have never, even when i started torrenting on private sites, had that kind of problem.

Finally they do something about this.. I've uploaded some shit there myself, including packs.. The few who downloaded'em hit n ran instantly, I was stuck with packs on my HD for weeks, because of those idiots.

Get rid of'em, BitMeTV!

hard to upload your own TV torrents when you don't have the means to capture the video. Only thing I could do is rip and encode from the DVD's but BMTV already has them all. I just never stop seeding anything.

BMTV is really strict indeed.... I had an account there a few months ago that I had about 10 gigs down and 100 gigs up, I went away without a PC for a few weeks, came back and then my account is disabled.

I literally threw my whole 2mbit line up on that site for 8 hours a day, exclusively to that tracker for the few weeks I was on it. Now I'm stuck hunting for another bmtv invite... Sucks.

Dunno if you were asking me, but if you were, bitmetv disabled mine because I didn't log onto the tracker in the span of a few weeks. I don't remember if they had a "park account" feature like some trackers do, if they do, I didn't use it, so I guess that would be my fault for going away and not logging in now and then.

But I had like a 10-1 ratio there with a hundred gigs up. Ah well.

It'd be nice if there was a way to contact a bitmetv admin to tell him to look at my ratio and re-enable my account.

People hit and run on every site especially during free leech periods. I'm not really sure why people are surprised this happens. BMTV staff are more hard on people then the average site so we'll end up seeing alot of accounts disabled come sometime soon suppressing those individuals who made the mistake to do it.

you hear so much about BMTV you have to think 10 times before you do anything there. worst part is, if you do nothing you still get banned. its a tight rope walk there for home users. i read the 10 commandments, rules and FAQs atleast 3 times before i downloaded a torrent from there

Depends on the way you talk and who you talk to. Get Ibslice. He's the man.

lol, I don't think it's that hard on that tracker unless you follow the normal seeding rules. Yes, One thing is, don't invite anyone including yourself.
