What is the pt of flac files? Are they better than mp3 n how do u convert them?

flac is a lossless format, e.g. theres virtually no difference sound quality wise when compared to the original cd. theres loads of programs out there that will help you rip cds to flac, or convert flac to mp3 etc.

The downside is of course the size of the files.

Also when you download flac you can then convert it to any format you want without it being a transcode.

To convert flac to mp3, download a free program called "Foobar2000". It comes with a utility to convert the files into V0/V2/etc...
