here is the poll for the official fst bittorrent newcomer award 2007.

we had a quite turbulent year with established sites going down and new ones coming up.

it would be fantastic if we get as many votes as possible here, so please move your mouse and click for your favorite site.

Waffles is good but they hardly have enough users to keep up with the large number of torrents uploaded everyday. They do have alot alot of torrents but most of them are dead.

like what has about 45000 memeber and waffles has 19000...there just cant be 1 winner in these kind of votes ,its just not fair on these new torrent sites....they r all new,it will be disheartning,and a let down....u cant just judge them in these initial stages....atleast there should be multiple choices.

Ok not so much down hill, but waffles seems to be getting better, while what seems to be having downtime. I dunno, i have done most by recent leeching off waffles, even tho i was a massive what supporter when it first opened.

A small calculation shows that one in every 4-5 iTS members had voted for iTS in this poll, which is an amazing figure. That goes to show you about how much users love that tracker!

On the other hand, the What results are extremely disappointing, considering the fact it probably has one of the largest userbases in the list.

I believe that the 1000 votes bar is somewhat unfair towards the smaller sites. If we continue with iTS as the example, its userbase contains only ~550 users, and therefor there is a very limited potential pool of voters for that tracker compared to the larger ones such as What and Waffles. So the question is whether this thread's aim is to check what's the best tracker or what's the most popular one?

polling stations don't close because one party has less members than the other.

smaller parties get less votes, bigger parties get more votes.

in the end you can always put the number of votes in relation to the userbase and make an analysis with a conclusion.

polls are total and not relativ.

of course the poll is about popularity. you may as well call it "most popular" newcomer.

To have started a new site, set up a completely new code base for trackers, and (imo) created a worthy replacement for OiNK, they surely must win.
