"End of Free Leech? Boo" we here you say. Well, we're gonna try and turn those frowns upside down ;)

As of 00:00GMT tonight (when Free Leech ends) the download multiplier will be set to 0.75, permanently.

Put simply: ONLY 3/4 OF WHAT YOU DOWNLOAD IS COUNTED

We hope this encourages more activity and helps users out who feel they can only afford to download during Free Leech periods.

So, not a bad start huh, oh wait...still unhappy about Free Leech ending? Hmm...how does; 10GB of Upload Credit for EVERY user sound? ;)

We hope that gets 2008 off to a flying start for all our users, almost 17,000 of them...

The userbase will also open up to 20,0000 users at 00:00GMT tonight too.

But how do we fill those spaces? 1 invite for every Power User and above? Sounds good to me!

So for anyone too excited to take all that in;

* Only 3/4 of what you download will be counted towards your ratio from now on

* 10GB of Upload Credit for every user

* Power Users and above each get 1 invite

May we please remind people that the Rules still apply.
eg You must still seed to 1:1 ratio, or at least 72hours. Trading invites/accounts will get you an immediate ban, be warned.
P.S. We banned Poland and Israel with IP bans, and from now on they will no longer to signup as unfortunately they cause more hassle with cheating that it's worth.

Live in a place that has FiOS or in a country with 100/100 lines as closer to the norm and you'll be fine. I know one user here who seeds like no other on his HOME connection, for example.

well, it's now that it will be a lot of trading.
I must admit that i'm kinda curious how this site works on the inside, mostly due to the reports of unfair banning, pay per invite, etc. The contents should be fairly the same as you find at other major trackers, and 1 hr +/- pretimes aren't an issue for me.
Well, as a seedboxer i'm not too worried as to how ratios are easy/hard to get, but i sense this measure, plus offering of 10gb buffers are to keep the community moving forward. And i suspect that for the average home user it's not so easy to survive in there.
/me blinks an eye to any poweruser that feels like invite me

yes that is very true,but nothing close to ftn...if they want to be like ftn abouth no ratio then they know what must be done..but this 3/4 also is not much for me but its better than nothing of course,if i have to chose from ftn and sct then i would say ftn since i can download from there and seed on sct with no worrys abouth my ratio,since i dont have seedbox but i also dont have slow up seed..

Hey ya'll, yeah i realise i'm a new user but i joined as my alternative invite source has shit down (TI v2).

I'm looking for a ScT invite. Boom. As most of you might now all Power+ users at ScT were given an invite each and there's plenty flowing around but i've had no success as i'm not very connected http://www.torrentinvites.com/invision/style_emoticons/default/sad.gif - my only source was TI v2 but that's gone...

I've got a dedicated 100mbit line and also an alternate 100mbit full duplex connected seedbox but i'm hardly using them...i've up'd ~2TB at TD with a 5 ration but that's hardly using my connection - it stays idle most of the time.

ScT is my only desire and i'd really appreciate if someone could possibly invite me. I'm able to share TD invites as that's all that i carry. The only reason i've come up in the open and asked is because the sudden flux of invites for ScT.

I am not a member of SCT and until recently I wanted badly to be one, but after I read all the comments from these forums about SCT, I will never want to be one.

And because I am not a trader per se my higher level tracker is iplay, a kind member invited me there only hoping to have later an invite to trade for SCT. But that certainly won't happen any time soon for sure.

Don't even waste your breath. There's nothing you can do but sit back and wait for the fireworks. It boils me deep down within my soul to see evil prevail, but I believe in karma and I know that in the end, things will always end up just how they should. Let them enjoy it while they can. Sometimes all you can do is pray that when things do finally take their toll, djgrrr, Feeling, the staff, it's users, and even kimii (unfortunately getting gifts from your overseas online boyfriend which are funded illegally puts you at major risk also.) will be shown at least some mercy.

It's inevitable, that nothing lasts forever. Their time will come, and I can guarantee you it will come hard and fast and it will show no mercy. Be grateful that you're not like them.

I used to lash out and be vocal in hopes that it would make change.. But I realized that this isn't worth your time. I can't speak for both, but one of the boys in that hot seat has chosen the wrong path, surviving off a torrent site rather than going to college and making something out of their lives. Personally, I've decided not to make that same mistake, I suggest you do the same.

I have a lot of respect for Brandon as a person but offer himself this advise; I once read that to change the world is a simple task, each person should just do kind deeds to others and others will follow; my advise then is if you want to change the torrenting world then simply continue doing the many kind deeds you have been doing while at the same time stop expending so much energy on SCT; the honest truth is almost every single SCT thread I have seen created you have been vocal one way or another in it with negativity about the tracker which just may be true but that approach changes nothing, follow your own words in this thread and allow time to run its course.

i hope you know it's a fact that net users who refer abusively in their posts to their "high" age and abuse the word "kid" in reference to others are 99% of the times less than 17 yrs old. Sticking the word "kid" and refering to your age in every post gives you away. Your amuzing uninteligent posts give you away as well. when it comes to content sct is already hard to beat. no other tracker offers a better and faster variety of scene content today.

the next thing i would like to see is some work on the community aspect.

the forum does need better moderation. the forum structure as itself is ok, but i read posts there that are simply not tolerable.

if sct staff manages to combine the fantastic tracker with a better moderated forum no other site (with a comparable user base) will beat them.

They are not interested in their forums, they only want to deal with you and I on IRC, which is a pity, so the forums are left to fester & rot and no-one with any authority takes an interest in what goes on there, so we are left with kids running kids on a forum - not a good mix.

Yes, we live in a world with nearly 7 billion (probably more now) people so it's obvious there are people out there who are little more twisted minded than the rest. So now we should play nazi's and just censor all comments like that? The guy expressed his opinion/thought about the video. If that's gonna hurt anyone, it's gonna hurt him, since people will mark him as a sick minded pervert. When it comes to pictures and links we check them if they are really over-the-top ones and either remove the links or mark them accordingly. Now if someone will want to click on it and view it, that's his choice. But why take that away from those who want to see certain stuff, because few individuals don't like it, despite the fact that they knew what are they clicking (Ok, I'm presuming before clicking a link, normal person does read the comments about it, unless there are none). I like the freedom of speech that ScT has (aside the part that I'm forum mod there), since it allows users to use forums for what they are, expressing opinions ;)

If that is the general attitude on these threads on ScT you surely can understand why some people think it's wrong. Yes I understand that you want everyone to be able to share their opinion. But if comments like that are well known on ScT it just brings down the whole forum attitude in my opinion.

I know atleast one big forum that specializes in sick pictures, movies and discussions about it. But the maturity is way higher and you will not see a post like that. And that makes it a much more interresting forum to be in, read and discuss.

But I don't want to bash down on how you do it, beacuse you do what you think are best. Just trying to show how some people see on the ScT forum (I guess) from what I've seen.

Yeah.. I'm not too fan of the forum myself.. Lurking around sometimes, maybe throw in a post or two, but... Even though ppl are thanking you for the open forum, it still doesn't change the fact that there are too many asshats posting.
I mean.. I'm all for free speech and all that, but what good can come from a guy quoting another guy and says "You're a fucking retard", with no further comment. Lots of "lol" and "newb"-posts as well, too messy.. In a thread with like 15 pages of replies, you can bet that at least 4 of'em together are quotes + lol-smiley, lttd, or some other shite.

However, short and meaningless posts can indeed be phun and games, but as I stated above, posts like "dumbass" etc doesn't exactly creates the wubness that it should be.

You're probably not seeing it all, because you're pals with the "core" of ppl posting the most. It's a short circle with well-known users posting crap, not making too much space for new ones.. I bet there are lots of new ppl who won't dare to post in the forum due to the tone on the "old'schoolers"..

People won't often view the threads there and many times posts with req of help won't get an answe at all.and they have 17000 members!If I would need to req for help i will try on TB they have one perfect community with great FLS crew and great forums.
ScT=Leeching/Seeding.
TB=Great packs and community.


Edit:Forgot to mention that Many of the ScT regular posters are bunch of jackanapes,That always make fun of other newbs and other posters.They have got so unfavorable atmosphere in their forums so i won't even bother to go there.
