You can be sure that many people have gotten SCT invites for free, yes.
What it is really hard is that you get the invite with that offer.
I´m pretty sure your odds would be bigger if you ask it for free.

For many reasons:
It´s not the same for many users a guy who wants to trade that a guy who asks for something.
In the first case, many users don´t like traders, so you are so fucked off for them. Only others traders could be interested, but with the offer you have, you won´t get anything of high level.

My advise, I´m talking from my own experience, participate here, give what you can and in a short time people will help you. I´ve gotten a lot of things that three months ago I thought I wouldn´t get. And I´m a newbie.

The other way you have is hard trading, but I guess you don´t have anything for that, yet.

If you not a rookie:

1) Don't ever leave your email on public.

I recommend to check your trackers FAQ's betcha some of them will be pissed off on your SCT offer, so don't be surprised if some might ban you.
