if u had money to donate to some bt site.. who would it be?
this donation is not for invites...not for uplaod credit....but just for the sake of donating to keep the site alive....imagine..if u dont donate today.. all these sites might just shut down tomorrow

If i were to donate i would be to a site that lives of its communety, and not those p2l sites. Not that i mind some sites having p2l, but then i would assume they get enough money of that to also be in need of donations.

yes i know that, i wasn't saying it as smth bad. Maybe i didn't express myself well. I was refering that to me ,personaly , it feels alot better to earn a special status by my own strengts :) I totaly agree that with such a small userbase , members who actually help at keeping the tracker alive deserve the VIP status, they are special contributors to the site. So , hope it's clearer now, for my, as a personal feeling , it feels better to get such status by contributing with activity or something else

I have donated to RevolutionTT, BitSoup, BitMeTV, OiNK (rip), Demonoid and FileList.
Never for ratio, except to BitMeTV, in the beginning I couldn´t keep ratio.

If the tracker is good for what I need, the staff is helpful and I don´t see a lucrative intention, I have no problem in helping.

There's only one tracker I would ever donate to if it was necessary and that is HDBits. It has got a great community that produces some amazing results (if any of you saw the 720p encodes of the Die Hard series it was done by a member of the tracker before it leaked everywhere else) and has been my favorite tracker for a long time ;)

What I would definitely never do is donate to some scene tracker, because however good it is, there's always an able replacement around the corner. Besides that, I don't really use them enough to warrant a donation.

Well, now that I think about it, what or waffles could be on my list too because they have no pay2download feature and they may need some support as they're fast growing music communities.

What nobody voted for SuperTorrents? LOL For those who don't know what happens on allot of trackers, let us just say sometimes it goes to 19 year old kids that like to buy lexus and other things.

Very few trackers honestly put the money back into the tracker itself. Just because you see the donation amount on the top of the main page does not mean that is all the cash they raked in for the month.

If I were ever to donate it would be to a very small tracker with a small number of members to assure the money was going to supporting the community and not some kids pocket.

I've actually awarded VIP to quite a few members who have kept the forums active, but these people tend to end up being staff anyway, sooner or later.

Personally, I would rather have a custom title than the VIP title, as the custom title says so much more about your contribution to the site (it also shows that personal service).

I would donate to either:
- Demonoid...if it would help to bring it back I would certainly donate. One of the best trackers out there. They have done alot for BT.
- TPB... love these guys. They are one of the few people that are fighting for BT and have done so much for BT.
- FSC.. The guys there have done so much for the private tracker scene its unreal. Most people dont know the contributions they've made to BT and if I can help them in anyway I would.

But I voted for Demonoid as losing them was certainly a huge loss to BT and I would to see them make a comeback.

I would also consider donating to trackers that provide something unique yet essential, like HDBits or Underground-Gamer.

I haven't always had the time to devote to each of the forums because of career obligations, so donations were my way of contributing resources that were available to me at those times. I'm still very happy to donate money to these sites because I believe in their respective missions. I look forward to the day I can donate to FTN. ;)
