Original Disney Movies in HD?

Has anyone heard/know if the classic Disney movies (ie. Aladdin, Fantasia, The Little Mermaid) will come in some HD version, either Bluray or HDDVD?

Only thing concrete is that there is disney HD movies on Xbox Live to download, that is if you have an xbox, actually physical releases none...

Um..... old cartoons, in HD? Wouldn't they have to be upscaled or something? I doubt they would have source that fits the resolution. And, not to mention there probably isn't that great of a demand, seeing as little kids are still fine with regular DVD resolution. :)

Nope. I think they now make new Disney movies in HD, but not the old ones.

the first disney classic to come to Blu-ray will be Sleeping Beauty, and that will be in fall 2008. its gonna have 7.1 surround sound! :D

and after that more disney classics will come most likely...hopefully

and they arent upscales.

wow, it would be nice to watch all Disney classic in HD! I'm pretty sure they can successfully transfer them into HD format, enhance the picture quality and sounds. Lots of old movies are now being reencoded in HD format. can't wait :)
