fastest I've even seen is 145Kb/s on kazaa & that lasted for all of 2 seconds on a 576/288 -but then it was staying pretty steady around 70 to 80Kb/s, it was nice :)

Fastest speed I have ever had on kazaa is 148 kb&#092;sec... lasted for 4 seconds. Im on 384/384 wireless.
But that is nowhere NEAR my top speed altogether. MY DAP (Download Accelerator Plus, for all those more nOOb than me :D) has managed to net me 2448 kb&#092;sec, lasted for 0,5 seconds, then dropped to 647 kb&#092;sec, lasted for 1 second, then completed the download (rest was 5 seconds) at 140 kb&#092;sec.
What I did to accoplish that? Just paused the DL to write down the URL... When I pressed Resume, :o :w00t:

i&#39;ve got up to 700kb/s, but my average with klite is around 200kb/s. with bittorrent, it&#39;s like 100-200, doesn&#39;t go over 200. <_< bittorrent is slow, but good, but slow <_< <_<

i hit 4.5 ~ 5.0 KB/s on a 56kbps connection, and i&#39;m very happy my 700 mb downloads take 40 ~ 50 hours to complete&#33; :lol:
btw, 30KB/s for more than a second under a 56kbps connection is impossible. :blink:

I have seen speeds up to 800kb/s but it only happened once.I just downloaded Max payne a couple of minutes ago at a constant 130kb/s .I saw good speeds in the 200&#39;s yesterday on a few things.
I don&#39;t know how you guys on 56k can stand waiting for this stuff.I guess I am just spoiled with my high speed.lol

Around 200kb/s for me normally, but I&#39;ve have seen a lot faster though around the 1000kb/s mark but they never stay like that for long (just a few seconds most of the time :&#39;()

But this sounds like total BS and most of the time when i tell ppls this they think i&#39;m lyin, but its the honest to god truth, but i dunno how, but when i was downloading 8 Mile the movie back a few days before it came out here....I had it ALL downloaded in about 1hr 45 mins or less? I can&#39;t remember. But it was up at 200kbs + i was like SHIIT&#33; But mines usually around 5kbs. All tho sometimes i get it to about 15...not too often tho :rolleyes:

the fatsest mine ever got i think was around 123 kb/s. but that was for a few seconds then it went back to abotu 70. how do you guys get such high speeds?

If you really do have an 11Mb connection you should be getting speeds around 1375KB/s.

Sometimes with a popular mp3 I&#39;ve gotten in the 80s, but being an mp3 it only lasts a minute or so. On larger files I&#39;m lucky to get 5, and on average I seem to get like 0.5.

I think once I got 130 on something for a brief moment...I know it&#39;s not my connection limiting it, because I&#39;ve gotten much faster speeds off ftps and websites.

here, i&#39;ll do the numbers for ya......

512 is your down....
256 is your up.....

512 divided by 8...which is what bits compared to bytes are......(a kilobyte is 8 times the size of a kilobit....) KB = kilobyte kb = kilobit

which leaves your maximum d/l speed at....a whopping 64K.......whooo, think about that for a minute.......


unless u have somehow gotten your ISP to up your speed to, oh, say, like 1600/768 maybe????........which would cost about &#036;20 more for that much of a speed increase.....

no offense man, but get your numbers straight....

You&#39;re all lucky&#33; I only have a 128kb/s modem and my average speed on Kazaa is around 20kb/s. I once got up to 70 for a second and that was when I had alot of sources.

Use one of the Accelerator programs. I did and
deleated the program then removed it from my
register and the speed stayed up and it never
timed out. Works great. If I ever have to do it
again it will be worth the &#036;&#036;&#036;. :D

Wrong, T1 download speeds are generally slower than most cable downloads. But the uploads are another story :rolleyes:

i&#39;ve got my max. 150kb/s on a 135 to 150kb/s dsl. as long as it is a popular song or a popular movie and not rare (like the matrix, or american, or a walk to remember) i get good download speeds.
