I was wondering what the best way is. The most important thing I am looking for is speed since we all have fairly decent connections. Anyone have any ideas?

Well if everyone in the group has a large amount of files they want to share with each other, setting up a hub using DC++ would probably be easiest.

Find a FServ that hosts your file that you are looking for and just download it. Alot of fast FServ is botted on hijacked mirrors that can do over 500kB/s+

Do any of these make it so if two people have one file it downloads from both at the same time?

DC++ does it mate ;)

edit: oops, misunderstood your post, i think that dc++ doesn't do it.

i really like filefactory.
yopu can host files up to 300 MB
abd the upload/download speed are very good.

Since you are looking for speed, the upload might be limiting. If you are willing to spend some small amount of money, a private FTP Server might also be a good idea.

Or if you guys have upwards of 1mb upload speeds, you could use WASTE which is anonymous and convenient.

a private FTP server or as above waste server

Most of us have speeds in the 2+ range for uploads so I don't think an FTP server is necessary. I'll give waste a try.
