Im using Win2000. Sometimes I install a program or game, then later un-install it or get rid of it myself. And when I check the add/remove programs, its still there! Isn't there a program that would let me remove some of the entrys? Cause if the program isn't there anymore, when I click Change/Remove I get an error. With TweakUI you can, but I think thats for 98 only. It kinda annoys me, like how I installed then got rid of Enter the Matrix, and its still in the add/remove programs.

Add/remove plus on the fosi site if he still has it. It's a bitch to register, fosi forgot the reg code when he packed the one I got. Just search altavista and you might find the right serial.

There is a file somewhere in the C:\WINDOWS directory (probably in one of the sub-folders) which you can edit with Notepad - This has the info on what to show or hide in the A/RP.

Can't remember the details though :( Best you have a look on Google

you should be able to go into the registry and delete bad entries manually (if you don't want to install another application to do this). go to the key [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall] in the registry editor and delete any bad entries there.

Wow, thanx for all the replies! :)

I went and tried a couple of the programs you guys listed, I liked Add Remove Plus 2003 the best so far. Now all I need is a crack...

Thanks again everyone, those bad entrys started to annoy me.

Just use a simple registry edit:

After backing up the registry, I suggest that you delete the entries by
following the steps given:

1. Click Start.
2. Click Run and Type Regedit.
3. Click the plus sign (+) next to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE.
4. Click the plus sign (+) next to Software.
5. Click the plus sign (+) next to Microsoft.
6. Click the plus sign (+) next to Windows.
7. Click the plus sign (+) next to CurrentVersion.
8. Click the plus sign (+) next to Uninstall

Then remove the desired program by clicking on the folder with the right
mouse button, choose delete from the menu and click on yes from the
confirm delete window.

In the past JV16 has been free (ver 1.3 and older) but with the newest version 1.4 it is changing to a shareware prog. Its has a free trial period while you look for the crack.

Jv16 download site (http://www.macecraft.com/)

hope it helps

Don't bother with any programs. Do what has been posted before and use the registry editor.
