What do you guys think of Filelist?

How is it? I've never heard much about it but it's been closed for some time, and a lot of people seem to want it.

Is it any good? What do you guys think?

i registered when it first came out, didnt really use it much, so i gave it away to a friend, this was before it was "wanted" you can say, didnt really interest me then because i already had torrentleech

I registered around 1 year ago, i use it in combo with tb and i get pretty much everything i need. If your really picky about pre-times then FL might not be the tracker for you, but like vinhkhang01 said everything eventually comes up. Lately tho they have not been looking too good, a bit less than 500 torrents:unsure:

I dont about it being a "wanted" tracker but it doesnt even come close to TL. I've been on it for a very long time, so i know what I'm talking about. Its filled with Ad banners so they can maximise their profits. They make no attempt at improving their site in anyway and all they want is to maximise their profits from the Ads. One example of this is that they dont have a download torrent link on the browse page like a lot of tracker recently added. When asked in the forums why they didnt have that the staff replied so that when people visit the torrent description page that doubles the Ad viewing.
It is however good for a hit'n'run, in case you're seeding a lot of stuff elsewhere and you've missed a few torrents that you'd like to grab, filelist is your answer.

I think it's pretty decent. If I remember correctly, I went over there after TorrentBits went down so it's pretty much my oldest site.

You gotta respect it, if only for its age and longevity. :P

I was using it a lot several years ago. But for the most part i got things of TB. But now i think the site is rather bad. Dont like the layout nor the forums. So i am letting my account get purged.

I agree that the site has nothing special in terms of torrenting but the design of the site is great

one of my first torrent sites. been with it for around 2 years and now its a tracke where you strictly get latest stuff. i still remember the glory days when they had started the imdb250 section and uploaded the top 100 with excellent speeds and plenty of seeders. i do hope they bounce back. i still get an odd file from there for sentimental reasons. speeds are still excellent though and pretimes are not too bad

Likewise, my 1st overall scene tracker, now only get something once in a while for sentimental reasons. At least the last year speeds suck too.

Filemp3 and Filelist are dying slowly, I hope something will change.

but they dont have that great pretime like before,also there is no xbox360 games and few others standard categories like on others sites,also few of categories on Filelist are empty..

most what u can find there are Xvid movies and 0day packs.

Well at one time FL was very much in demand but in the last year I've seen members here trying to give accounts away and there were no takers. Nothing special there, plenty of seeds/leechers on most stuff but all scene stuff....their ttl is adhered to strictly so nothing older than a few months. No community spirit there whatsoever.

Dozens of better sites out there.

I still visit FL sometimes..it doesn't have as many torrents as other sites, but has some new releases and it's a good place to seed as there are lots of peers.

i think it's a very ok tracker, with lots and lots of seeders and leechers and decente speeds.
honestly, i wouldn't get rid of it by no means. ok, it's easy to find better pre's, easy to find a better community (not the most important imo) and easy to find better speeds, but all in all, it's still a top torrent site, no matter what people say and dislike it.
been there for a long time, and intend to use it.
it's great for downloading "old" stuff (i.e. one week older) cuz there are always leechers and easy to make your ratio grow.

was also one of my first private trackers, many years ago it was one of the best there was (back in the days when suprnova was around and elitetorrents). right now it's mediocre, little activity, only ~450torrents.. no packs,rather slow pretimes,etc., the only thing good about it now is that it's a legendary site one of the oldest and no invites make it interesting for torrent newbies.
