As a web designer and fellow BT freak, I want to know what draws you to your favorite trackers. What I mean by this is that it's not PURELY .torrent based. If that was the case we'd all use mininova, etc.

IMO, it's got to be the forums and the people you meet. A good helpful forum always draws me to a site.

Speed, content and sometime pre's.
If it has a good community then its awesome
I only take part in few tracker forums but its always great to talk to people who respect each other

Obviously speed and content, but a good community is very nice. I think my biggest pet peeve is that at least 80% of all trackers just use the same TBSource interface, which gets boring quickly. I like the design to be visually pleasing, but with a little variation.

Design and forums. I like slick looking sites

I try to be active in most forums, I'm much happier if there is a good ps3 forum :)

Good forum/community is essential to me. Themixingbowl.org is still my favorite although everyone can join. Why? The community rocks!

Besides the obvious, I look for a good design and also nice things like a seed bonus system/freeleech periods.

The content in first place, how the tracker works - designed to help all its members to maintain good ratio.

1) content : this is the primary reason why people go to torrent sites. you always love a site where you get anything you need.
a) speed : obviously important
b) pre-times : for people with fast connections and boxes, they are important
2) community : enriches the torrent experience. you would obviously feel like going to a site with friendly users more often. if a site has unfriendly/hostile users, you would rather just grab the files you need and seed back.
3) design : noone enjoys an eyesore :P
4) bonuses : free leech, 2x upload, seed bonuses, bonus points etc. are always very lucrative. TB is a fine example of how to become popular using FL
the order might be different for different people, but i feel these are the 4 important reasons

-Im a gfx designer so i cant stand bad design, but for the most part things are limited with tbdev so i cant expect much. Decent design is a must, but probably doesnt take priority over community and content....although all should be viewed on a equal level

1) Content
2) Speed
3) Seeder/Leecher ratio on torrents
4) Ease of seeding
5) FL and bonuses
6) Design (the flower is one of the best imo)
7) Community

I have different trackers I go to for each one. Some have the worst/best staff out there, some the worst/best speeds you'll ever see and some have the worst/best amount of content and quality of it.

a helpful forum, seed bonuses or something of that sort, and a great layout. but of course the most important part of the tracker would be the number of torrents. i prefer specialized trackers, ie: blackcats for games, TTi for movies, Kray for underground music, Rockbox for metal, what.cd or stm for everything else music. all those sites have at least 3/4 of the criteria i listed :)

Originality.
Typically content is the most important thing to me.
Specialized trackers are the best because they bring a lot of different content.

Next, not only do I like a good community, but I like to see good correlation between the forums and the tracker. People who talk about things in the forums and then they upload it, etc.

And it's very nice to see the whole package put together with some nice coding and a slick design. A good design will give an edge over the similar site with an ugly design.

AND I like it when the staff is down to earth and helpful. So many staffers have a God complex problem. I find it really obnoxious, sometimes unbearably so, so a staff that realizes they're just normal people, too, is a plus.

number of torrents. If the site is too fancy and has pictures and graphical designs, i automatically leave. Oink was basic, i like it because it spends time on quality of torrents, not looks

Content, speed and the number of peers per torrent. I don't care how exclusive a tracker is, if the majority of their torrents only have one or two seeders, that definitely turns my attention away.
