View Full Version : KeyWeb / Hosting-IE VPS locked at 10Mbps?

I just noticed that my Hosting-IE Raptor+ VPS has the connection locked at 10Mbps as seen in this picture:

Shouldn't it say 100Mbps there to fully utilize the "2x100mbit" master server connection advertised on their site? The speed rarely reaches 1.25MB/s so something is not right. Can any other Hosting-IE Windows VPS users report it shows 10Mbps on their Windows VPS as well?

mine is read as 1Gbps, maybe you should try to restart your server

I've tried rebooting Windows and that didn't help. I'll try contacting Hosting IE to see what they can do.

Try going to control pannel then performance and maitience then system then hardware then device maneger then network adapters and make sure the port is set correct..ie 100mbts or gbit witch ever ur on.

Are you sure your Raptor+ VPS reads 1Gps, because this is the response I received from Hosting-IE, in verbatim:

hello

2x100mbit belongs to master server Sir
however the connection is not 10 mbit Sir
that is the bug of vmware, it is much higher than it shows

Best Regards
EDIT:
Seems that the support rep was right:

Although my speed is not physically limited to 10Mbps, it sure feels that way from all the speedtests I've done and my torrent transfer rates. :(

All rented seedboxes suck :( If you or a friend isn't fully in charge of the box, you have no idea what they are doing with your box.

Hmm

as far I can see Keyweb don't have packages matching rabtor 1+
more of that they don't do VMware, and 1gbit aether, so how that is working out there how are there resellers??

look at my speedtest above... "Keyweb AG" also, when youre a customer, your control panel longs you into a secure site owned by keyweb.

I think they rent space network rack or some like that,
Or even they are the same company?
otherwise i can't see the point, reseller is the one who reseals the goods, so if keyweb do not do the package how they can resell it :))
I had a chat with keywebs support
They do not deal with Vmware, that's for sure.

It's true that in KeyWeb packages they don't deal with VMWare, but that could happen if hosting-ie become their reseller

what do you mean ?

fstokebanget

hosting-ie is their reseller, and has VPS package that uses VMWare, that's the fact, but on KeyWeb package itself, they only offer dedicated servers

:) where did you seen 29 euro setup in keyweb :))
They do not ask less than 70 euro Plus they ask 3 month prepayment for foreign clients.

Too blade good to be a simple reseller.
