I thought this was him.

Although he is getting pretty big these days. It will get harder for him to stay out of the press.
He gets shit from people saying he's sold-out. I think he is just successful and they are jealous.

Yes, it's pretty amazing stuff.

Wit, pathos, hard images mixed with soft.

I really like it.

I don't know, that's the issue.

He's prolly the only artist from the post-graffito generation who is actively making money outside of galleries. I reckon if you explore the work, you might say that some of it is crass and obvious but when put in it's proper context, it's fantastic,

If you look at the art of a load of geniuses you would probly say the same thing. It's easy not to do that, just never have an original idea or push a boundary. The great one's do but.

Not suggesting he's great, we've just been introduced. Just saying like.

Wouldn't it be a great job, tho'?

To re-define public sensibilities? The Kissing Policemen have caused untold public dessent.

Isn't that what art's about?

Amongst other things, no.

It may be to make the public question their sensibilities, preconceptions and prejudices. However it shouldn't be to shape them. The viewers should do that for themselves.

A section of wall featuring a Banksy piece has just been sold on Ebay for 200K.

The winning bidder has to pay to get the wall removed and replace it, then pay for shipping.

If Banksy had scooped the 200 grand, I would tend to agree.

However, as it stands, he just did the owner of that building a fucking huge favour.

I do think, though, that the piece should be available to public viewing and not stuck in some rich fucker's vault.
