I Put The Url In As Avatar Thing

I put pics on a site, and I put the URL as the avatar thing and it says its not a valid file extension. How do i make it so the pics work....

use a jpg or gif extension...

are you trying to use bitmap (bmp)?

None of them are .bmps, all are either .gifs or .jpgs.

Many questions are answered there. Make sure the site provides that you can link externally.

Daft question, but did you put in the http:// bit?

I think He named the picture something like this:


http://www.mysite.com/my.avatar.gif

The forum will think it's an .avatar file (which is not allowed nor the file extension excists)

The correct URL would be:


http://www.mysite.com/avatar.gif

I just read this on the avatar thing
* NOTE You have to add &ext=.jpg | &ext=.gif | &ext=.png etc. after the URL to make it work.

Okay.. I put the &ext=.jpg at the end of my URL and it doesnt all enoug cahracters. I get as far as (URL)&ext=.j
