how to setup torrentflux in debian?

but not know to setup >.<
I don't know,if vps is has installed php , phyton, how to see if the vps is installed it?
and how to setup torrentflux?
please tutorial for newbie..

There are several hints scattered through the thread. I am sorry I can not be very helpful as I just got it working myself on Debian after several attempts and offcourse I can't remember which exact steps I took now.
(except that I ended up not using the debian package but rather the source package).

Setting up torrentflux after you installed it is pretty easy, just log in to T.F. as administrator, set up a user account and perhaps change the default torrent settings to your desire, its just as easy as any other bittorrent client as soon as it is installed.

As for php, mysql etc. if you rented a dedicated server I don't think you got anything more than a basic debian system without any of that stuff.

you set up torrentflux in debian the same exact way you set it up in any other os...did you even read the documentation on the site or the stuff in the tar.gz file?

debian has "apt" for package management, you need to learn how to use it to install torrentflux/rtorrent/wine+utorrent

I did a quick search here (http://www.debian.org/distrib/packages#search_packages) for torrentflux, and it's only in the unstable tree, so you most likely have to add the following line to /etc/apt/sources.list:

deb http://http.us.debian.org/debian/ unstable main contrib non-free


then type:

apt-get update
apt-get install torrentflux

I think that should work (haven't used apt in a long time) :)

Or you can try the wine+utorrent route without the need to add the unstable tree, just follow the guide in the Tutorials section and type "apt-get install" instead of "yum install".

Personally I'd go for torrentflux-b4rt http://tf-b4rt.berlios.de/

Its got more features than the original torrentflux. You can find various tutorials on the net. If you need any help with it or torrentflux PM me as I'm currently running b4rt.
