no its right. im not sure about the tech side behind it, but theres always 1 less zero when youre actually uploading/downloading. someone could probably explain that better than me, or you could do a bit of googling..

Its really a complex mathematic formula. You have to divide by 8! :O

The test shows kbps, what people are familiar with is kBps, so if it gives you 1500, divide by 8 to get 187.5kB/s.

Always bear in mind this is one connection to a server thats a) close to you, b) able to accept your full upstream on a clear bw path.

Plus I think speedtest.net is run by lawn gnomes, so that always hurts credibility too.
