A very funny man until the end, he rightly deserves to be one of the Greats...

I was talking to my Dad this morning and mentioned Bob Hope's passing, and that he had been BOB HOPE all my life.

My Dad said, Me, too.

R.I.P. :(

R.I.P BOB, A British born comedian who, in the dark years, made us laugh when there was very little to laugh at. Salute! billyfridge.

As J2K4 alludes to, some things come and go, but Bob Hope remains, from generation to generation. From these stable things we draw comfort. We will miss this institution.

For him, I know he was ready, as his last few years have not been how he would have wanted to be remembered. Nonetheless, his passing leaves a certain void.

He was a comedian till the end. I heard his daughter say on tv after one of her last conversations w/ him, "dad, where do you want to be buried?". And his reply was "surprise me" :) :'(

I grieve, and deeply regret using this thread in order to indulge my urge to own this whole page in the forum. :(

He should be cryogenically frozen, a'la Ted Williams.

Of course, Bob Hope should be allowed to "keep" his head.
