Blu-Ray are kind of expensive so I'm being very selective and the movies/series have to be the cream of the crop.

I'd buy:

The Wire
Babylon 5
Dexter
Casino
The Godfather Trilogy
Scarface
Aliens
Terminator 1,2
The Thing

so far...

Married with Children, all 11 seasons.

I think ones with lots of special effects would be best in HD. Like things set in space, like Star Wars for example. Yeah I'd probably buy Aliens too, and maybe things like Stargate and Battlestar Galactica.

provided it's extended though, which isn't out in HD.

a good bet would be flashy movies like the fast and furious series, 300, transformers, matrix.

godfather would be kinda pointless dont you think. u're not missing anything even if it isn't in HD

transformers is a great choice. the colours come off real nice and most rips that're out can't match the original in image quality.

As for TV Series, I think it would be Prison Break or something, I don't watch that many TV series :P maybe "That 70's Show" just because I love this series

As for movies, well, scarface and godfather really are good choices, I would also say Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter and Spring in HD... that would be amazing

I don't watch HD and I don't have a HD DVD player at home, so that's not an option for now ^^

i watched the island in HD the other day it's really quite good. it's a very colourful movie and that's always the best part about HD.

"24", "Band Of Brothers".

There is longer list for the movies but main problem is many of them aren't released in HD format.
