Are stars 'earned' in ways other than post count? Was looking here: http://filesharingtalk.com/vb3/showgroups/ but still confused. I have nearly 100 posts yet no stars but I see others with less posts but have earned a star. :unsure:

Can someone explain the star system or link me to a better description that the above link? Thx in advance...;)

Yes. That's when you'll be a "member."

After 60 days and at least 50 posts, you'll be a "poster." These are just terms from the Welcome thread.

Stars also represent FST Staff/Crew and Community Reps.

Yes. The 30 day requirement was an addition that was setup when the Invites section requirements were added.
