i had quick look in FAQ @ hdbits , couldnt see rule saying you have to download 1gb/month

You MUST make use of your account. If you download very little, your account will be disabled.

It's done automatically and I heard after someone downloaded less than 1GB/month (measured over the whole time he's been member there).
